Ensuring American Leadership in Automated Vehicle Technologies: Automated Vehicles 4.0, a report by the National Science & Technology Council and the United States Department of Transportation, was published in January 2020. The report was developed to unify efforts in automated vehicles across 38 Federal departments, independent agencies, commissions, and Executive Offices of The President, providing high-level guidance to Federal agencies, innovators, and all stakeholders on the U.S. Government’s posture towards AVs.
